Supporting Our Community Since 2020

Founded in 2020, Better Active Oldham was created to make a positive difference in our local community. Since then, we’ve supported over 6,000 people,  and counting - through activities, projects, events and opportunities designed around local needs.


From children and young people to families and adults, our provision aims to create welcoming spaces where everyone can get involved, connect with others and access new opportunities.

Creating Spaces to Connect

Family Connect – Weekly Family Activities

Family Connect is our funded weekly indoor family session, bringing adults and children together through sport and activities. Enjoy badminton, multi-sports, crafts and more, with something for everyone to get involved in.

Youth Connect - Weekly Youth Club

Funded by The National Lottery, Youth Connect is our weekly club giving young people a safe, welcoming space to socialise, get active, try new activities and build confidence.


Join us every Thursday from 5:30pm at Sholver & Moorside Community Centre, with a variety of activities available each week.
